We did get a chance to see everyone from both sides of the family and that is all that matters. The shortened version:
My family spent the weekend before Christmas in a whirlwind of parties, gifts, food and laughs.
My favorite moments:
-Aunt Pat's brisket-I have Never had that! Watching Charley AND Henry open gifts and be excited about them all!
-Having a discussion about the family name draw (No arguments!).
- Eli taking good naps in his pack n play.
- Watching the three boys open "Toy Story" pajamas!
-Eating and hanging out!!!!
It went to fast and it didn't leave any time for any drama!
Andy's family celebrated over Christmas Eve and Christmas day/weekend. We attempted to arrive on Christmas eve but got caught in an ice storm. Got a hotel room. Went to the ER for Croup and spent the late night hours into the morning. We left for Andy's parents right after and arrived later in the morning on Christmas Day. The highlights:
-Watching everyone play in the snow for hours
-Seeing the 3 baby boy cousins play together-they are so close in age
-Jake got baptised
-There was a MAJOR Nerf gun fight that I tried hard to stay out of-nobody got hurt!
-De-shelling hard cooked eggs with Andy and his brother Chris-the egg whisperer
-A 2nd trip to the ER for fevers, cough and ear infection (Eli was sick the whole weekend)
-Andy's brother on the last night-he had too much to drink and lightened the mood for all of us who stayed up to witness it!

Seems like so long ago!
We have to have a long chat about all of this one of these days, you me and Sarah, so we can think about next year! Eli looks great in all the pictures even though he's sick.
