2 months
Crosby has turned 2 months old. Gosh this is rushing right by and he is a third-so I'm super busy making lunches, solving tantrums, emailing she/he/her/him, talking AT Andy, yelling at Bailee, folding laundry (loads of it), making dinner, breakfast, lunch, folding underwear, vacuuming...you get the point. So I haven't blogged as much as I wanted about his birth, his first few days or weeks, but now he is 2 months old. BUT! That doesn't mean I'm not soaking him in. I'm spending time giving smoothes, cuddles, hugs, nursing him morning, noon and night and talking to him and about him 24 hours a day. Call me-I'm awake-with Crosby :)
I dare you to click HERE.
This will show you Hugh at 2 months and all his stats. Hugh and Crosby are almost the exact same size!!!!! Crosby is 12.5 lbs and 23.5 inches long. Amazing. His head is also over the 75th %ile. Let's hope they differ in sleep patterns.
More to come on Crosy-P. (our nickname for him).

6 year old haircut
We were starting to call him Lloyd from the movie "Dumb and Dumber"
But then we cut his hair,,,and...you guys---THIS!!!
A clean cut mini-Andy emerged. And my heart beat harder for a moment as I realized---change can be ok. Change is good (usually, sometimes) and here he is. A proud BIG boy with a new haircut. Since I don't have any girls I will not have too many before and after shots heading your way for the next few years. This may be as good as it gets. And he is AWESOME.

Fall 2015
I can't believe it's fall already.
A few of my favorite moments:
-The older boys are more and more independent. We can really trust them to run ahead or scoot/bike ahead a little more than ever in the past. Although Hugh, when biking by the lake (we were walking behind him) on his bike went so far ahead he couldn't hear us-we could still see him, and we were by the lake, he turned (on purpose) and all of a sudden was biking ON A PIER. Andy ran and I just watched with my hand covering my mouth. If he would have fallen in......it was a gated pier but if he had fallen off the bike and fallen in------ahhhhhh. The reason it was a funny moment is that he looked so calm as if it was on purpose and that was where he wanted to go and he was completely in his own world.
-Eli got 100% for the 3rd week in a row on his spelling test so we took him out for frozen custard. Treat!!!!
-Eli ate a lemon wafer cookie and said "this is so good. it is making my stomach vibrate"
-Eli started reading a new chapter book in the Goofball series. He was SO proud to carry around a chapter book. He even read it out loud to Andy while sitting on the stairs.
-Crosby open mouth smiles now. It's almost as if he wants to say something or laugh but he can't figure out how to make the sound at the exact time he needs or wants.
-Hugh stopped his bike when by the lake and said "I saw somethin'. Look turtle footprints". He made me turn around to see it. It was squashed goose poop.
-Boys tried on their Halloween costumes-they are counting down the days until Trick or Treat.
-Andy and I got out the DVD of the slide show from our wedding and watched it. We were trying to determine if Crosby looks like either of us when we were babies. He may have my nose? He looks like Eli, no he looks like Hugh, ELI! Hugh!!! so fun.
We spent a lot of this weekend outside. The colors haven't all changed yet but it was crisp enough for sweatshirts.
We made it a point this weekend to get out of the house and get our wiggles out. This helped Andy to enjoy the Packer game because the boys both slept for 2+ hours today!!!

I'm trying to get in the picture more often. Usually I avoid the camera as much as I can. I've read so many articles/blog posts about moms just getting in that picture-your kids don't care what you looked like or what you were wearing. They just love you. They truly do. And someday these pictures will spark memories of me WITH them. Not just me behind the camera. So I'm working on this.
I'll take this weather for a few more weekends please!!

My first in video
Here are some snippets of Eli. I notice now I don't take enough videos of this little bugger
.
This first video is one of my favorites. Mostly because you can hear proud dad in the background that melts my heart. But this is the FIRST play of the FIRST game after 3 practices. Was so proud.
Eli's LEGO pinata that Andy made....
LOVE hearing the big family cheering on Eli as he goes over the "jump"
This one shows BOTH boys--mostly I want it on record. Some day when they look back they will LOVE seeing this magic kingdom of "up north at Grandma Roeder's house".
