Snow Globe

We finally got our "first" real snow. It stuck.

I work in a building that is almost all windows on the outside.  Full walls worth of windows. Unfortunately my little office does not have a window. Fortunately my job allows me to walk all over all day long.  Yesterday I enjoyed watching the snow start and then start to stick and blow all over.

I had my first experience trying to brush the ice and snow off the mini van.  It's higher up and bigger.  And I am bigger too.
Having a baby bump really gets in the way of what you are trying to accomplish.  I think I may have even broke out a sweat.
I picked up Eli and when Andy got home, we took him outside.
Andy put him on the sled and pulled him around the back yard. He loved it.  Yes, love would be the right word.  He was all smiles (Even when he tipped over and got a full "face wash").  His cheeks were a glow when he got in:
Our camera does not do the pink cheeks justice....

Parts of me wish that Christmas was 1 week away instead of a few weeks behind us. It feels good to not have to shop and rush around.  But I could go for some hot coca, cookies and wrapping tonight...

1 year

1 year.
Go me.
I'm celebrating this last year of being gluten free.

Someone at work heard me talking about a gluten free item and she said "Oh are you talking about glutards?". HA!  I laughed.  She didn't know it was me who was gluten free.

For more reflections -check out my gluten free blog.  Today I blogged about the changes I've made and all the support that has flooded my way.  Check it out here.

Usher

I'm not an Usher fan. Nor am I a fan of David Guetta.  I'm also not-not a fan of either.

I am a fan of this song and I don't usually like a lot of "pop" music.

The beat is catchy but the song is  on the verge of being overplayed....this I know.
But because I don't have time to listen to the radio that much, it's not overplayed in my ears.

Then I watched the video and decided I loved it more.  I just like the idea of this video---can you imagine?  CRANK it!  And then imagine our world...

Cousins

This year we tried hard to get all the Grand kids in a picture. We just wanted 1 good shot.  It took quite a while and was quite the process.  We eventually got them all in there-but they are all being crazy.

The first 4 to sit down:

add a few more to the group:

Oh we found the second one wearing green in the back

(remember Eli was just getting over the flu)

In this one we are missing the littlest boy and the oldest boy.....

Take note-the oldest 2 in the back are feeling "it"-the desperation of sitting through the adults yelling to all the little ones to sit still and smile.  Eli is not even looking-but everyone is finally there.

It takes a lot of energy.  Next Christmas we will add 2 more little ones to the group.

Bounce

Please excuse the Christmas mess that lies in and around Eli in his bouncing glory.

33+ (#2)

Ok, so I've had a chance to view my last post from other computers than my own.  On other computers I look MUCH more stubby and short and wide than on the picture on my screen at home.  I wonder what it looks like on your screen?  Ha....there is a possibility that is what I really do look like-stubby and short and wide.  :) I'm tempted to take it off but I'll leave it for now.

Dear World,

Yes I am 33+ weeks pregnant.
I'm obviously very pregnant.  There is no guessing now.
Thank you for all the smiles and well wishes.
But...please keep your random comments to yourself, especially if I do not know you.  "big day any day now!" and "you have already dropped!"  and "wow that seems like a ways off" or even "you look double the size you were with your son" are not comments that help this prego through the day.

On the other hand, thank you to the lady who told me I looked only 4 months pregnant.  That made me feel less stubby, short and wide.
Love,
Raina
Here's another attempt...a little less stubby

33+

33+ weeks....still cookin.....

Eli is still convinced it's a girl.  A baby sister.  I just can't wait to find out.  Andy and I are attempting a "babymoon" next weekend-so hopefully we'll have some time to narrow down baby names together.  Just for the record-I ALREADY know that I will be saying "What was so hard about having just 1 child?".  So don't laugh at me when I say it. Because I'm already shaking my head at myself.   Ok (as my dad would say)-gotta go- time for icecream!
