So-my middle gets to be first. It isn't often that he gets to try something first. So today he gets the first update.
I told Andy the other day that I have truly met my match. How can one human being be the perfect child for me while being the most difficult human being on the planet earth?
That's my Hugh Lou. That's Hughie. Louie. Lou-Lou. Loudie. Hugh Robert.
He can spell and write his name already. He's a smart boy. I have no fear that he will learn to read quickly-he has a love of books like I had when I was little.
He's 3 1/2 years old. He has strong will power, a quick temper, a smile that melts hearts and beautiful blue eyes. He uses words like "Definitely" and "actually". "Do you know what he do-s? He say-s" (not does or says). He's rough and tough, he hits and throws. He's pure boy.
Most of these pictures are blurry because this kiddo is on the move.
Hugh has a password. For what? I don't know. But his password (shhhh) is simple "H".
He loves to sit close, step on my toes and touch faces. He changes his voice to a lower octave when he pretends to be the bad guy. And his best friend is "E-y". He is a picky, slow, distracted eater and it makes meals frustrating. But Grandma Barb says he has grown into a perfect little boy. I still can't believe I have a blondie.
Friend: "Hughie where is your fish?"
Hughie: "In the toe-let eating his food"
He was the first to call his younger brother "Crispy".
He is my boy who lines up his toys.
He crosses his legs whenever he can.
He asks for a nap but takes forever to settle down at night. And still wakes a few times a week.
Hughie lives on the edge. He will try almost anything. But when it comes to being sticky or messy-he's not so tough.
When looking at a picture of our wedding party Hugh says "Mom when you were born (I think he meant married) you were a REAL princess. And you KISSED DADDY!!!!! ha ha ha! And I was...where was I?"
And I told him "You were not born yet".
And he said "So I was home all by myself?"
He makes me laugh every single day.
This year Hugh is taking taekwondo and a planes, trains and automobiles class.
This is his "school".
Hughie rarely sits in silence. He is always talking, humming or singing. Most would say this is his way of showing his happiness.
My middle.
